Let’s face it, we live in a society of instant gratification.
We don’t want to wait for anything and in the days of internet, smartphones and 4G we don’t have to, we can get instant results with just the click of a button. We have fast food restaurants on every corner, on demand features that allow us to watch what we want to watch when we want to watch it and grocery stores are filled with tv dinners, instant rice, and premade dishes/meals. I guess this is what he envisioned....too bad he was wrong
all singles, sometimes I think about giving up on a dating and relationships. Mainly Partly because I’m a realist masquerading as a cynic who’s really an optimist, which basically means that I know I’m gonna date even though I assume it won’t work all the while secretly hoping this time is different. (YES I know this is a terribly conflicting approach, alas the life of split personality gemini.) Though this is true, I think it has more to do with the fact that I attract crazies!!! Why I attract crazies is a whole ‘nother post for another day. Sadly this isn’t a new trend, way back in high school a couple of friends and I named ourselves TBMs (trifling brotha magnets), so this is an ongoing problem.
This week I want to focus on three crazies I’ve meet over the last couple of years.
Get outta my way
I had a different topic in mind for today’s post and worked on it for a while until I realized that it wasn’t flowing the way I wanted. So I’m going to go another silly
easy to write route…Pet Peeves, we all have them, those little things about others that just drive us insane. Speaking of driving, we all seem to think we’re great drivers and are totally annoyed by all those other drivers on the road that make our commute challenging.
Roses and Chocolate (tried and true)
well actually tomorrow as I write this watching the Grammys is Valentine’s Day. Thanks to the holiday falling on a Monday this year, I was able to witness how crazy this holiday really is. Everywhere I went this weekend, the mall, the grocery store, the cupcake shop, was packed and covered in pink and red! It made me wonder… Am I the only woman who really doesn’t care about Valentine’s day?
As I sit here on my sofa watching The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and typing this blog, I’m wondering “What happened to my day?”. I mean really, I don’t think I accomplished anything today. I’m always amazed by those organized busy body types that conquer the world daily. Seriously, I have no idea how they do it!
Yesterday while cruising my Timeline on Twitter I was curious about a link retweeted by Wise Diva. The retweet read “A new survey of American singles finds that modern men are more likely than women to want children…”
The article, Gender Flip, summarized the results of a survey of 5000 Match.com singles. The one statistic I want to focus on is: 24% of childless single men report wanting children, compared to just 15% of childless single women.*
